This luxury playing card deck brings ancient Persian legends to life, inspired by the Shahnameh! the epic poem by Ferdowsi written over 1,000 years ago.

I designed this 54-card, poker-sized deck with fully custom illustrations. not just the face cards, but every single number card too. Each King, Queen, and Jack represents a unique character from the Shahnameh, brought to life through my artwork, with their personality and role in the larger story.

To help you enjoy the game and explore the meaning behind each illustration, I also created a beautifully illustrated guidebook that shares the rich tales and character connections behind the deck.

I made these illustrations based on Shervin Hajipour's song "Baraye," aiming to portray the infinite reasons behind the recent protests in Iran. My goal was to create an endless illustration that reflected the complexity and depth of the issue. The illustration went viral on my Instagram account, with over 5 million views, and was shared by numerous individuals.

 As a result of the artwork's popularity, I was interviewed by BBC Persian, Manoto TV, Citizen Press, and TV2 (Danish TV). The piece was also showcased at various events and concerts. I am proud to share that this artwork was awarded the Mozaikphilanthropy 2023 Future Art Award.
